square-terminalCommands

Here you can find a list of all of the commands and the basic fundamentals of how they work/what they do.

/channels

Allows you to set up two (2) channels outside of the setup methods.

These two channels can both be used for confessions.

You have channel-1 and channel-2 as your channel options. Channel-1 will work as your main confessions channel, and the commands usage will *always* send to this channel unless you are using the command INSIDE channel-2.

To send confessions to channel-2, you must be using the confess command inside of channel-2.

/check

This command simply allows users to see which channels are set for confessions.

/clear

This command allows those with MANAGE SERVER permissions to reset all confessions channels back to null, preventing the use of Confessions by the server until it is set back up.

/color

This command allows those with MANAGE SERVER permissions to set a color for the embed of confessions using HEX codes.

circle-info

Users can input a HEX code with or without the prefixed # symbol.

/confess

Members of the server can use this command to create a confession to the current confession channel, be it channel-1 or channel-2, depending on the circumstances of bot setup, and which channel the command is used in.

There are no options for this command, unlike many other confession commands on other bots. This command sends as-is, and returns a form for the user to fill out with their confession. This allows the use of new lines, which in our opinion; is a benefit for neater looking confessions!

/confess-ban

This command allows those with MANAGE SERVER permissions to server-ban a user from Confessions bot usage. Users aren't allowed to use the /confess command regardless of any permissions or roles once they are banned; unless they are unbanned by someone with the correct permissions.

circle-info

The ban list has no limit, this allows even the biggest servers to fully utilise this ban feature, and ban as many users as they deem necessary.

/confess-unban

This command allows those with MANAGE SERVER permissions to server-unban a user from Confessions bot usage. Users that are unbanned will be given their ability to use the /confess command again as they see fit.

circle-info

There is no cooldown between bans/unbans and unbans/bans. If you unban a user and they create a ban worthy confession again, you may ban them again using the aformentioned command above.

/config

Attached to all confessions are 4 interactive buttons:

  • Report Button

  • Reply Button

  • Remove Button

  • WhoIs Button

This command allows those with MANAGE SERVER permissions to Enable or Disable the use of these buttons. However, disabled buttons are not hidden from confessions, they still exist there to remind staff that the buttons are indeed a thing, and can be enabled/disabled at any time.

circle-info

When buttons are Enabled, they function as normal.

When buttons are Disabled, pressing them greets the user with a message saying: "This button has been disabled by server staff."

/docs

This command provides an easy-to-click link to this very Documentation.

circle-info

If you are looking for the /help command, that command is now defunct and replaced with this current /docs command.

This button simply provides the user with a donation link to help support the development and hosting of the Confessions bot.

We provide this bot completely free-of-charge to all users with no plans for any premium subscriptions or premium varients of the bot through one-time purchases.

No purchase will ever be necessary for the full use of the bot, and you will never be forced to make a donation by any member of GMT (Global Moderation Team) to make a donation.

circle-info

(Want to support the bot but can't do so by monetary means? See the /vote command further down this list.)

/gmt-hub

This command is primarily for the members of the GMT (Global Moderation Team) as a way for members of the team to access a Hub of sorts that allows them to ban/unban users/servers wherever they are, provided the Confessions bot is available where they use the command.

However, this command is also available to all Server Owners, but only to check if users/servers are banned. Server Owners do not get the ability to ban or unban users from the bot globally, and also do not get special privilege if they wish for a ban/unban to happen.

/invite

This command provides the user with a link to invite the bot to any server that they are able to do so.

/ping

This command provides the user with the bots latency, and they can use this to gauge if there may be connection issues with the bot, which may cause timeouts.

/quick setup

/support

This command provides the user with a link to the Confessions Help Desk, this is the official support server for the Confessions bot, where you can find new friends, get support for the bot, chill with the developers and the GMT (Global Moderation Team), and even use the bot itself! You can also find our announcement channels there too to follow:

  • Announcements

  • Bot Status

  • Bot Updates

/vote

This command provides the user with a link to vote for the Confessions bot on the Top.gg website.

circle-info

This is the best way to support the development of the bot, and our team without any monetary donations. (See /donate for more info)
